These are lyrical Instrumentals I’ve made over the years.
Sakura
I made the main melody of the instrumental using an FL Studio plugin called Sakura, hence the name. I also added some violin plucking lines to give it some life and it kind of gives the vibe of someone searching for something they lost. Making this instrumental got me thorugh a pretty hard time in my life, so it means a lot to me.
Silk
I started making this instrumental together with a good college friend during my senior year of college, and then I completed it at home. We sampled the vocal from this amazing African singing group, and then took it from there.
Riffin
This instrumental was so fun to make - I had an initial bass line and a sick electric guitar riff which I fleshed it out with some violin lines and a simple drum pattern.
Forrest
This one has a funny story: my mom used to sing in a choir, and we would support her by attending her concerts every once in a while. At one concert, they started singing this piece that repeated this amazing melody over and over again throughout. I loved it so much that I went home that evening, wrote out the notes out on my computer, and put a simple beat on it.

The Start
This is the first beat I made, way back in 2019. It’s not mixed well, and definitely not a great beat. But it marks the start of something really special to me.
The Freestyle Beat
In high school hip hop was really popular with pretty much every culture, and with that came attempts at freestyling. I took it upon myself to make the most epic freestyle beat, and this is what came out of that. Unfortunately no bars hath been spat on this beauty, but someday I’m convinced someone will.
Squeaker
This beat is hands down the most unique hip-hop beat I’ve ever made. It started with this crazy melody, which is a brass hit that I arranged and pitched to my liking. It was such a cool melody, but making the drums really pushed me out of my comfort zone
Video Game
I made this beat in my amazing dorm room during my freshman year of college (I had a Genny dingle - if you know, you know). I don’t know what it is about this one, but I just really like the way it turned out.
Also, keep in mind that for all of these beats that I chose there are dozens of projects that I started and didn’t finish, or that just sound like my family’s 8 cats walked around on the keyboard and hit export.
